Warranty Claim – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all warranty-related submissions for products distributed by TCL HVAC Canada (“TCL HVAC”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) within Canada.
Submission of a claim confirms that the applicant has read, understood, and agrees to comply with all requirements stated herein.
Claims that do not meet these conditions may be declined without further evaluation.
1. Eligible Applicants
1.1. Warranty claims are accepted only from licensed HVAC professionals.
1.2. Homeowners and end users are not permitted to submit claims directly.
1.3. The claim must be filed by the original installing contractor. Submissions from unrelated service providers or third parties may not be accepted.
1.4. TCL HVAC Canada may request proof of licensing or business credentials at any time.
2. Product Qualification & Source Verification
2.1. Warranty applies only to products purchased through TCL HVAC Canada or its authorized Canadian distribution channels.
2.2. Equipment obtained through unauthorized sources—including online marketplaces, cross-border purchases, or resale channels—is not eligible for warranty support.
2.3. Applicants may be required to provide purchase documentation, distributor details, and valid serial numbers.
2.4. Products outside the official distribution network may still be serviced; however, replacement parts will be chargeable unless otherwise approved in writing.
3. Warranty Coverage Overview
Ductless Systems:

5-Year Parts & 7-Year Compressor Limited Warranty (standard, without registration)

Up to 10-Year Parts & Compressor Limited Warranty when registered within 60 days of installation
Unitary Systems:
Warranty coverage is subject to product registration, proper installation, and compliance with TCL HVAC Canada guidelines.
4. Applicant Responsibility
4.1. The applicant is responsible for ensuring all submitted information is accurate, complete, and truthful.
4.2. Required information includes, but is not limited to:

4.4. TCL HVAC Canada is not responsible for outcomes resulting from incorrect or missing information.
5. Required Documentation
5.1. Claims must include clear supporting evidence, such as photos or videos that demonstrate the reported issue.
5.2. Submissions lacking sufficient documentation may not be processed.
5.3. TCL HVAC Canada reserves the right to determine whether the provided materials are adequate for review.
6. Data Use & Privacy
6.1. By submitting a claim, the applicant consents to the collection and use of information for purposes including:

Product tracking and quality improvement

Internal reporting and compliance

Communication with relevant parties
6.2. Information may include business details, technical data, and submitted media files.
6.3. All data is handled in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA.
6.4. Information may be shared with authorized partners, manufacturers, or regulatory bodies when necessary.
6.5. Submitted materials may be used internally for documentation, training, and quality assurance.
7. Claim Evaluation
7.1. Submission of a claim does not guarantee approval.
7.2. All claims are reviewed by TCL HVAC Canada Technical Support, whose decision is final.
7.3. Additional information, inspections, or verification may be requested.
7.4. Claims may be declined due to improper installation, misuse, or non-compliance with product guidelines.
8. Unit Replacement Requests
8.1. Any request involving full unit replacement must be reviewed in advance by Technical Support.
8.2. Contractors are required to contact TCL HVAC Canada prior to submitting such claims:

8.3. Requests submitted without prior review may not be considered.
9. Limitation of Responsibility
9.1. TCL HVAC Canada is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including:

Labor or service costs

Project delays

Business interruption

Loss of revenue

Third-party claims
9.2. Approved warranty remedies are limited to those expressly authorized.
10. Compliance & Misuse
TCL HVAC Canada reserves the right to restrict or deny access to warranty services in cases of:

Altered or falsified documentation

Repeated non-compliant claims

Abuse of the warranty process
11. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable provincial jurisdiction.
12. Updates to Terms
TCL HVAC Canada reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the warranty process indicates acceptance of the latest version.
